Egypt’s Chief of Staff inspects security situation in North Sinai

Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Mohamed Farid, visited, on Tuesday, several military and police units in the North Sinai to inspect the security situation in the region.

He also inspected a number of national projects that the Armed Forces implemented in Sinai, in addition to meeting a number of citizens who hailed the Armed forces efforts to restore security and safety throughout cities and villages of the North Sinai.

Farid has also met with executive and security leaders of North Sinai governorate. He visited the permanent operations center for the insurance sector in the North Sinai, following up on the progress of security operations.

During his inspection tour, Farid reviewed joint plans between the army and police to uproot terrorism, as well as the security plans used to provide safety for all workers in the national projects being implemented in Sinai.

 He conveyed the appreciation of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Minister of Defence Mohamed Zaki, to the army personnel for their efforts and sacrifices that led to the restoration of security and safety and the creation of an appropriate climate for investment and contributed in achieving a comprehensive development in Sinai and the preservation of the nation’s achievements and capabilities.

He conducted a dialogue with commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers, during which he affirmed his confidence in their ability to carry out their tasks with full force to maintain the security of Sinai.
