Argentinean, Italians and USA shooters stand out at the 2016 Grand Prix

The Grand Prix D’Egypte, part of the 2016 World Helices Championship which took place at the Shooting Club, concluded its competitions on 6 October.

The event was divided into five competitions: open, juniors, women’s, veterans, and super veterans.

First place honours were received by shooters from Argentina, Italy, and the US.

In the open competition, Argentina’s  Javier Oviedo and Cervigni Rogilio Gostavo came in first and third place respectively. Second place went to Egyptian Mohamed Din Fouad.

US player Shea Self won the women’s competition, while her compatriot Mimi Wilfong came in second. Third place went to Italy’s Sylivia Camiciola.

Victories for the Argentinean shooters continued, as Argentinean Brahin Leonel won the juniors’ competition. British Charles Pomfret ended in second, while Egyptian Yassin Eshra came third.

Italians Andrea Martignoni and Franco Tassinari won first and second place respectively in the veterans’ competitions. British Robert Arnold was placed third.

Italian shooters also had strong results, as Italian Giovanni Rodenghi was the champion of the super veterans’ division and Paolo Parrini won third place. Second place went to Egypt’s Mostafa Korani.
