Souq.com, which is specialised in the e-commerce field, has announced that there will be White Friday discounts from 23-27 November in Egypt and the Gulf states.

Omar Elsahy, the general manager of Souq.com, said that the company registered the sale of 600,000 products in Arab countries on White Friday last year.

The company targets reaching the sale of one million products this year within the Arab region, and the website is expected to receive two million visits on the occasion of White Friday.

He added that Souq.com is preparing for White Friday by offering 25,000 products to Arab customers, of which 10,000 products will be allocated for the Egyptian market and will be accessible on the website for four days.

Souq.com will expand its direct sale model from the factory to the consumer, so as to facilitate the availability of international brands to consumers at competitive prices.

Elsahy expects that Souq.com will witness the sale of more than 100,000 mobile phones and more than 100,000 health and beauty products, in addition to 500,000 pieces of clothing, chocolates, detergents, toiletries, and hair dryers.

He expects that electronic products will represent more than 50% of sales, through partnerships with rapid trading consumer products in Egypt such as Pepsi, Unilever, and Mars companies.
