The Tadawy account in the United Bank donated 30 medical devices to Ain Shams University Hospital, as it continuously seeks to provide therapeutic support to ease the burden on patients with special needs and to help therapeutic institutions in their role.

United Bank’s Chairman, Mohamed Ashmawy, said: “Corporate social responsibility for health and therapy is of utmost importance. The rate of patients with special needs is increasing. Public hospitals cannot meet all therapeutic needs. So some civil society organisations are coming together to provide their support.”

Ashmawy added that since the United Bank founded the administration, called Eithar, for community development in October 2006, it has been supporting two main axes: health and education, due to their great impact in societal development.

As he concluded, the Eithar account includes 62 non-governmental organisations (NGOs), 42 of which work in governorates. The account managed to acquire EGP 27m, which was directed to NGOs, charity work and scientific research.
