Russia’s Presidential Grants Foundation will begin accepting applications on October 1 for a new competition for grants from the President of Russia, open to individuals and non-profit organisations from around the world, according to an announcement from the foundation.
The competition offers grants of up to 3 million roubles for individuals and up to 5 million roubles for organisations, the announcement said.
The application window closes on October 30, with results due to be announced in November. Implementation of successful projects is scheduled to begin on December 1, the foundation said.
Funding will be available in three areas. Under cultural dialogue and outreach, the foundation will support educational and cross-cultural initiatives that promote mutual understanding between people in Russia and other countries.
The community and family support category covers projects supporting parent and family networks, patient support groups, mutual aid initiatives, social bonds and communication within groups, and social inclusion.
The third area, environmental protection, is for projects focused on wildlife and biodiversity conservation.
