Minister of State for Military Production Salah Gamblat said the Ministry of Military Production is committed to implementing President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s directives to localise modern manufacturing technologies, strengthen national industrial capabilities, and increase reliance on local components.
He said these directives represent a roadmap for strengthening the manufacturing system at military production companies, supporting the national economy, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development targets and Egypt Vision 2030.
Gamblat made the remarks during a field visit to Heliopolis Company for Chemical Industries, Military Factory 81, as part of the ministry’s continuous monitoring of operations at its affiliated entities and efforts to assess performance and production rates.
During the visit, Gamblat inspected a number of the company’s production lines and reviewed the progress of manufacturing operations to ensure they were proceeding according to the specified plans and timetables.
He said Heliopolis Company for Chemical Industries’ manufacturing capabilities and accumulated expertise strengthen its role in supporting strategic industries and supply chains and deepening local manufacturing, which he described as essential foundations for a sustainable industrial sector capable of supporting national security requirements and the country’s comprehensive development drive.
The minister also reviewed the company’s compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, stressing that protecting workers is a top priority across all entities affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production.
Gamblat said continuous field monitoring of workplaces is one of the key pillars for improving performance and quality and ensuring discipline.
He added that the current phase requires integrated efforts by all employees, optimal utilisation of available capabilities and resources, continued development of production lines, and improvements in quality standards, enhancing the competitiveness of military production companies’ products and generating added value for the national economy.
At the conclusion of the visit, Gamblat stressed the importance of continuing to work as one team and investing in human capital as the real driving force behind the production system.
He said the expertise, manufacturing, technological and technical capabilities, and infrastructure available to military production companies represent a strategic asset that must be preserved and further developed to achieve greater progress.
