The Egyptian Golf Federation announced that Madinaty Golf Club will host two international professional tournaments on the Asian Development Tour with a combined prize fund of $250,000, reinforcing Egypt’s position as a leading golf destination in the Middle East and Africa.
The tournaments, which serve as the 13th and 14th rounds of the Egyptian Golf Series, will each feature a prize purse of $125,000. The first competition is scheduled to run from September 23 to 26, with the second taking place from September 28 to October 1.
Players from more than 30 nationalities are slated to participate, bringing together experienced professionals and rising talents from across Asia, the Middle East, and other regions.
The events will be held at Madinaty Golf Club, described in the announcement as the best golf course in Egypt and Africa. The venue previously achieved significant success hosting the 2025 Egyptian Open in collaboration with the Asian Development Tour, and also hosted an Asian Tour global golf tournament in 2022.
Omar Hisham Talaat, President of the Egyptian Golf Federation, expressed his pleasure at hosting the Asian Development Tour again, noting that securing major international tournaments reflects the growing confidence the global golf community places in Egypt. He added that the events highlight the quality of the country’s courses and its status as a global tourist destination.
Talaat explained that the federation’s strategy is not limited to hosting tournaments, but aims to provide Egyptian and Arab players the opportunity to compete alongside international professionals. The approach is designed to provide a genuine pathway for young players to develop and reach global competitions, while simultaneously leveraging these events to promote Egypt as a distinguished regional and international destination for golf and tourism.
Ken Kudo, General Manager of the Asian Development Tour, stated that the return to Egypt follows the success achieved by the tour’s tournaments last year. He affirmed that the partnership with the Egyptian Golf Federation reflects a shared commitment to developing professional golf and creating opportunities for players.
Kudo added that holding consecutive tournaments at Madinaty Golf Club represents a new step in the evolution of this partnership. He noted that the expected broad international participation from more than 30 nationalities will enhance the global diversity of the competitions and establish two distinct weeks of golf.
