Parkin Company PJSC, Dubai’s provider of paid public parking facilities and services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Modon Misr for Asset & Facility Management, Mwasalat Misr, and Redcon Properties to explore the development of smart parking and mobility solutions in Egypt.
The agreement marks Parkin’s first entry into the Egyptian market and supports the company’s strategy to expand its operations beyond the UAE.
Under the MoU, the parties will explore a range of joint initiatives and integration opportunities aimed at developing advanced parking management and mobility solutions tailored to Egypt’s evolving urban landscape.
The collaboration will draw on Parkin’s operational, technological and advisory expertise in smart parking, public parking and multi-storey car parks. Areas under consideration include parking planning and development, parking policies, demand management strategies and technology-enabled mobility solutions.
The parties will also explore the deployment of Parkin’s smart parking technologies across parking assets managed by the Egyptian partners. These technologies include Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), AI-enabled parking cameras, barrierless parking solutions, digital permits and parking management platforms.
Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, said the MoU represents an important milestone in the company’s regional expansion and provides an opportunity to deploy its operational and technological capabilities in Egypt.
“We look forward to working with our partners in the Arab Republic of Egypt to explore how Parkin’s operational and technological expertise and smart solutions can support the evolving needs and continued urban development of Egypt,” Al Ali said.
Mohamed Aboutaleb, CEO of Modon Misr for Asset & Facility Management, said the partnership would support the development of parking and mobility solutions in Egypt amid the country’s urban expansion and the development of new cities and communities.
He added that combining Parkin’s international expertise with local market knowledge could help develop smart and integrated solutions tailored to the Egyptian market.
The parties will further examine the technical, operational and commercial models best suited to Egypt’s market characteristics and requirements, with a focus on improving parking efficiency, customer experience and the sustainability of urban communities.
Parkin operated approximately 229,000 paid parking spaces as of the end of 2025 and holds a dominant position in Dubai’s on- and off-street paid public parking market.
The company operates under a 49-year concession agreement with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, covering approximately 193,000 public parking spaces and around 4,000 spaces in public multi-storey parking facilities.
Parkin also operates around 32,000 developer-owned parking spaces through partnerships across Dubai and provides barrierless, ticketless parking services at two malls operated by Majid Al Futtaim.
Parkin’s customers completed approximately 141 million parking transactions in 2025, supported by digital payment solutions and intelligent parking management systems using artificial intelligence and big data analytics.
The company’s parking operations date back to 1995, when they were established under Dubai Municipality. The operations became part of the Roads and Transport Authority in 2005, while Parkin Company PJSC was established under Law No. 30 of 2023. The company completed its initial public offering on the Dubai Financial Market in March 2024.
