KPM Precious Metals (KPM) has set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s longest gold bar, measuring 2.12 metres, marking a milestone for Egypt’s precious metals industry.
The record was officially registered under the names of KPM and its brand BTC, which specialises in gold and silver bars, ingots and coins. The achievement makes KPM the first gold manufacturer to secure the global title.
According to the company, the record reflects its advanced manufacturing capabilities and decades of accumulated expertise, while highlighting the role of Egyptian talent and craftsmanship in developing the country’s precious metals industry.
KPM said the achievement forms part of its strategy to combine Egypt’s long-established goldmaking heritage with modern manufacturing technologies and international quality standards.
Hassan Nassar, CEO of KPM Precious Metals, said the record demonstrates the potential of Egyptian industry to compete internationally.
“Today, we are proud to engrave Egypt’s name in gold on the global stage by setting a new Guinness World Record for the world’s longest gold bar,” Nassar said. “This achievement reflects limitless ambition and a strategic vision built on innovation, creativity, and uncompromising craftsmanship.”
He added that the milestone represents an achievement for Egyptian industry as a whole, attributing it to generations of local expertise and investment in national talent.
“This achievement is first and foremost a recognition for Egyptian industry before it is an achievement for KPM,” Nassar said. “It proves that Egyptian craftsmen are capable of delivering products that meet the highest international standards.”
KPM said it has adopted advanced manufacturing technologies while building on the expertise of Egyptian specialists and manufacturers, with the aim of strengthening the global competitiveness of locally manufactured precious metals products.
The company has expanded its regional presence across several Gulf markets, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
KPM operates an integrated portfolio of specialised businesses and brands. These include BTC, which focuses on gold and silver bars, ingots and coins; GD&M, specialising in diamonds and fine jewellery; Gemeva, a luxury concept store for KPM products; and Odyssey, which focuses on fine art and distinctive furniture pieces.
The Guinness World Record adds to KPM’s efforts to expand the international profile of Egypt’s precious metals industry while showcasing the capabilities of Egyptian manufacturing and craftsmanship.
