AstraZeneca Egypt launches first immuno-oncology summit in Cairo

Reinforcing its leadership in advancing healthcare and expanding access to evidence-based medical innovation, AstraZeneca Egypt & NEMAG launched the first edition of its Immuno-Oncology Summit, held in Cairo on the 2nd and the 3rdof July under the theme “Key to Life.” The summit served as a leading scientific platform, bringing together a distinguished group of oncology experts, specialists and healthcare professionals from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco.

The event also created a regional forum for scientific dialogue, knowledge exchange and collaboration on the future of cancer care. Through this platform, participants shared experiences, discussed the latest scientific developments and explored opportunities to improve patient outcomes across the region.

Through a comprehensive scientific agenda featuring expert-led sessions, interactive discussions and real-world case simulations, the summit explored the latest advances in immuno-oncology and evidence-based treatment approaches for some of the most prevalent cancers, including lung, liver, biliary tract, bladder and gastric cancers. The program also highlighted patient experiences, best clinical practices and the latest therapeutic innovations, while emphasizing the importance of Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) in supporting personalized treatment decisions and improving collaboration across medical specialties. Discussions further explored the growing role of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in transforming cancer care.
