Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at El Alamein Airport on Sunday for a fraternal visit, during which the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and reviewed the latest regional and international developments, particularly in the Middle East.
According to the Egyptian presidency, Al-Sisi welcomed Sheikh Mohamed as “a dear guest in his second home, Egypt,” underscoring the special place the UAE and its leadership hold among the Egyptian people. He said this reflects the deep-rooted historical ties and strategic partnership between the two countries.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome, reaffirming the strong historical and fraternal relations that unite the leaderships and peoples of the UAE and Egypt.
The two leaders reviewed the progress of bilateral cooperation across various fields and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, with particular emphasis on the latest developments in the Middle East.
They also stressed the importance of continued consultation, coordination and joint action to address the region’s growing challenges and support efforts aimed at enhancing regional security and stability, according to the presidency.
