More than 5,000 delegates from over 40 countries are expected to attend the 3rd International Technology Congress (ITC-2026) and the “TECHNOLOGIES” exhibition from 8–10 September at the Patriot Exhibition Centre in the Moscow Region, according to organisers.
Representatives from the business community and government bodies will gather to discuss opportunities for international cooperation in technology for key global economic sectors. More than 300 organisations will present their innovations at the accompanying technology exhibition, TV BRICS reported.
“The value of the congress lies in its concept – uniting the efforts of industry associations from Russia and partner countries to discuss key issues of technological development. Such a cross-sectoral approach enables us to find comprehensive solutions and to develop unified approaches, and also opens up new opportunities for industrial modernisation,” Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said in a statement to participants.
The congress brings together sectoral forums and niche events organised by Russian technology associations. Its key theme will focus on the implementation of information and other knowledge-intensive technologies to realise national projects aimed at achieving technological leadership and bringing domestic products to new markets.
Participants in the plenary and strategic sessions will discuss the role of sectoral coordination and labour productivity in achieving technological sovereignty, alongside the potential of open architectures and open-source software for international cooperation and exports.
The “TECHNOLOGIES” exhibition will be organised using a cluster-based principle. Thematic sections include intelligent control systems, unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, computing and data storage systems, service robots, industrial software, space research, telecommunications, energy for knowledge-intensive technologies, satellite manufacturing, video games, ready-made industry solutions, and consumer technologies. A specialised cluster, SPACETECH: Advanced space technologies and services, will focus on recent solutions in space activities.
The event will feature two primary sub-forums. The 2nd Inter-Industry Forum Data Center Infrastructure will address scientific and technical policy, construction, equipping, power supply, and comprehensive security for digital infrastructure facilities. The ICS Forum: Unmanned Systems, Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems will bring together developers, manufacturers, and clients across agriculture, medicine, construction, and energy to discuss regulatory frameworks, industrial design, and exports.
Demonstrations will be held by industrial centres of excellence regarding the substitution of foreign sector-specific digital hardware and software systems. Leading Russian customers from various sectors are also scheduled to conduct a discussion on cross-sectoral technology transfer.
The congress forms part of the event programme for the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia, running by presidential decree from 2022 to 2031, as well as the BRICS Centre for Industrial Competencies under the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).
