Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has inspected five hospitals in Cairo and Qalubeya governorates.

Health Ministry’s spokesperson Hossm Abdel Ghaffar said last Friday that the minister had referred the deputy and director of a hospital Qalubeya and a large number of its medical staff to investigation due to their absence from work and the halt of x-ray room.

He pointed out that the Minister of Health has been making unannounced visits to places where health services are provided, such as hospitals and care units, during official holidays, stressing that their aim is to identify the state of health care service provided to citizens, in addition to identifying obstacles and challenges and taking necessary measures to overcome them.

The spokesperson advised citizens under 60 who do not suffer from any chronic diseases to receive the booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine six months after receiving the second shot.

He stressed the need to continue the anti-coronavirus vaccine roll-out, noting that the vaccine protects against complications of the virus.
