Cairo has held the second edition of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX), which represents a new start for the Egyptian military industries, supported by its combat and war expertise that is globally and regionally acclaimed. The EDEX 2021, which concluded a few days ago, has become a gateway for the marketing of the Egyptian military industries, which enjoy regional and global interest because they accommodate the geographical and human elements in Africa and the Middle East.

Such military exhibitions, which meet international standards, represent an important addition to Arab national security. They help the participants exchange experience in the weapon technology, which is a crucial element in maintaining readiness and modernity in armament systems.

Egypt has strategic wealth and unprecedented experience in various combat operations, as well as a great and honourable history in the manufacture and production of weapons since the sixties of the last century. This makes it one of the best arms manufacturers in the region, in addition to its reliable products. That is why the political leadership is always keen to introduce the latest military technologies into our armed forces through cooperation with international companies, to coordinate with them in the manufacture of the latest products, and to participate in the transfer of military technology.

The exhibition is an opportunity to exchange experiences between the various workers in the leading global and local authorities in the field of armament systems and defence and military industries. It also opens new horizons of cooperation between Egypt and various countries of the world in the field of military industries, as EDEX has become a platform for the latest military technologies in the world.
