Doctor Online, a virtual clinic platform, has announced its partnership with VIDA Health Care Egypt to provide video-based consultations through their app.

“This agreement allows patients to reach doctors and consultants from England, France, and Germany, as well as leading medical institutes like the Royal Marsden,” said Mahmoud Abdelhakim, Founder of Doctor Online.

He added: “This partnership aims to make international expert consultation available to patients who would need to travel otherwise, backed up by report exchange to make the experience wholesome.”

“Doctor Online served more than 50,000 users and cooperated with 190 consultants and professors from Egypt in 2021,” he added.

Mohamed El Masry, CEO of VIDA, said that his company focuses on the Egyptians and Arabs abroad, and manages airborne evacuations and SOS flight service. He pointed out that this agreement will help thousands of patients who seek international second opinion without travelling, and when patients decide to travel for treatment, their case would be diagnosed and well prepared.

He confirmed that telemedicine has recently become the standard practice in the US and Europe. He also noted that VIDA has a wide presence in Egypt with its clinics and emergency services in Cairo and the North Coast.

“We are confident that this partnership is just the beginning of a long and prosperous cooperation,” El Masry said.
