Three massive explosions rocked the Aden airport in southern Yemen on Wednesday as local officials were gathering to receive a plane carrying the new power-sharing government coming from Saudi Arabia, a security official told Xinhua.

he three coordinated explosions struck the main halls of the airport when scores of local officials were gathering to receive the government members, causing an unknown number of casualties, the local security source said on condition of anonymity.

All members of the new power-sharing government were transferred to the presidential palace following the blasts, the source added.
