TMG to sponsor 5 Egyptian athletes qualified to Tokyo Olympics 2020

Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to sponsor five Egyptian athletes who qualified to the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy said the TMG always supported the Ministry, pointing out that TMG co-financed development of two youth centres in Sharqia and Assiut governorates to be comprehensive community service centres.

TMG sponsorship will include boxer Abdel Rahman Orabi, judo player Mohamed Abdel Aal, shooting champion Azmi Mahilaba, and pentathlete Heidy Adel.

CEO and Managing Director of TMG Hisham Talaat Mostafa said companies have social responsibility, and emphasised on boosting development in the areas most in need.

He promised to give all support to Egyptian athletes participating in Tokyo 2020, noting that

his company has supported all sectors of Egypt for 50 years.

The company has developed many technical education schools.

In response to a question by Daily News Egypt about the value of the sponsorship contract, he said the company has allocated unlimited budget for the players, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Hisham Hatab, head of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, said TMG’s and other companies’ support for Egyptian athletes will garner positive results in the 2020 Olympics.

Moreover,

the Ministry of Youth and Sports signed EGP 10m sponsorship contract with Wadi Degla Clubs for seven athletes qualified to Tokyo 2020.
