Neeasae receives offers to supply components of 750,000 LED bulbs

El Nasr For Electric and Electronic Equipment (Neeasae) has received offers from several companies to supply components of 750,000 LED bulbs during the current fiscal year.

A sample of each type of LED bulbs shall be submitted to the company to be tested on the production lines in the factory and to prepare the necessary technical report. The bidders will place their bids in two sealed envelopes and simultaneously hand them to the auctioneer; financial and technical envelopes.

Tenders are to be submitted with an initial deposit of EGP 30,000 in cash, payable cheque, or a 6-month unconditional letter of guarantee. If any sample was rejected, the supplier shall replace it before the deadline set by the company.

The planned productions for the current fiscal year include 70,000 white 5-watt bulbs, 30,000 yellow 5-watt bulbs, 60,000 3-watt bulbs, 40,000 5-watt bulbs, 50,000 7-watt bulbs, and 32,500 9-watt bulbs, 75,000 12-watt bulbs, and 20,000 15-watt bulbs, 20,000 18-watt bulbs, 20,000 24-watt bulbs, 20,000 36-watt bulbs, and 20,000 45-watt bulbs.

Ashraf Sultan, chairperson of the company, said the plan in the coming period includes the development of factories, saving 25% of costs and reducing non-standard damage projection to one-sixth.

He added that the company’s debts to the National Investment Bank amounted to EGP 90m. Work is underway on scheduling and repaying these debts. The company is working to coordinate with officials and its board to solve this crisis.

He said that the original debt was only EGP 10m, and rose after adding interests. The company’s losses in the fiscal year 2017/18 reachexd about EGP 7.4m. He explained that the goal in the current year, it includes maintaining the image of the company in the production and marketing of ordinary and fluorescent bulbs of various types.
