Minister of Finance Mohamed Moeit, inspected the equipment for the establishment of the first museum of commemorative coins in Egypt, which contains a collection of historical publications that have been in circulation since the establishment of the Egyptian Mint in 1950.

The museum includes various categories of coins, which represent the history of the Egyptian state since the royal era through the revolution of July 1952 until now. Furthermore, the museum contains a rare collection of commemorative coins, some of which were drawn in the Egyptian Mint and others outside Egypt before the establishment of the mint, and they represent some important historical figures, such as Mohamed Ali Basha, President Gamal Abdel Nasser, and historical Arab and Islamic leaders.

There is another group of coins dating important events, such as digging the Suez Canal, building the Aswan High Dam, and other important national projects in the history of Egypt.

The Ministry of Finance said that the museum will also include a collection of medals, necklaces, and shields produced by the mint.
