Oracle hosted its first modern business forum in Cairo to help fast growing and large Egyptian enterprises accelerate digital transformation and drive business growth with Oracle’s next generation “software as a service” (SaaS), according to press statement on Monday.

SaaS is a cloud application that is now embedded with artificial intelligence (AI).

Waleed Abdel Hamid, Oracle’s sales vice president of applications, said that cloud has become the new norm, and businesses with the cultural and technological capability to transform rapidly are setting the pace.

Abdel Hamid added that the modern business forum event focused on helping businesses lead the 21st century with more efficient operations, differentiated products and services, expansion in new markets, quick response to global demand, and reinvented customer experiences, all while infusing business and IT operations with adaptive intelligence and standardised business processes at a lower cost and complexity.

Starting from Egypt, Oracle will host more than 20 modern business forum events across the Middle East, Africa, east and central Europe region, according to Abdel Hamid.

The statement pointed out that the top global and regional executives headline Oracle’s presence at these forums.

The Oracle Cloud offers complete SaaS application suites for ERP, HCM, and CX, plus best-in-class database platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) from data centres throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

The statement noted that the day-long event that was attended by executives of leading Egyptian organisations witnessed inspiring keynotes from top Oracle experts on making digital business a reality with advanced cloud applications across finance; human resources; operations; procurement; marketing; sales; service; supply chain; and IT functions.
