Ministry of Housing to reveal details of real estate regulations at Cityscape conference

Acting Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly will declare the details of Egypt’s new real estate regulations at the Cityscape Egypt conference in Cairo on Monday.

Madbouly said that the conference would be the platform for announcing the issuance of the new real estate regulations, after being reviewed and amended by the Ministry of Investment.

 

The Ministry of Housing has consulted with a number of investors take their input into consideration, he added.

“We will sign a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Investment to apply the one-stop-shop system in the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), to make it easier for investors and speed up administrative procedures,” Madbouly said.

Madbouly will be joined by Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman, and Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Khaled Hanafy in the interim government, who will demonstrate the latest industry strategies adopted by the government for real estate development. In addition, more than 50 experts representing major companies and institutions from inside Egypt and abroad will be present at the conference.

The conference will host 400 participants, including stakeholders and decision makers, and aims at attracting local and international stakeholders who are eager to follow up on updates regarding the government’s vision for real estate sector in Egypt.

The Cityscape Egypt real estate conference is taking place on 14-15 September in Cairo, to present the vision and details of the growing and promising opportunities in the Egyptian real estate market. Further, it will also present the giant development projects that are currently being executed.

The opening of the Cityscape Egypt Exhibition will run from 16-19 September at the Cairo International Convention Centre.

Over 500,000 real estate professionals and investors from over 160 countries have attended Cityscape events.
