For the 18th consecutive year, the Cairo ICT 2014 exhibition allows attendees to familiarise themselves with the latest technology and related products. The conference will be titled “In the Heart of Tomorrow”, with the UAE as this year’s guest of honour in efforts to encourage closer Egyptian-UAE ties.

This year’s exhibition includes 28 discussion panels dealing with the future of Egypt’s telecom sector. It also reviews the most important developments in the sector, such as the Internet of Things , cloud computing, and large data. This year’s exhibition brings together over 500 local and international companies, bringing the exhibition into the focus of the IT community in the Middle East. Identity Authority Head Aly Khoury and Minister of State Sultan al-Jabber, both from the UAE, and Intel Vice President John Davies are set to participate.

The exhibition will host the first forum on online payments and financial inclusion entitled “PAFIX”, while top players from companies, banks, and financial institutions in the Arab world and Africa will take part. The exhibition is also considered the premiere event for directly shopping for electronic devices in Egypt.

Various companies operating in the sector, such as Visa, Morfo, OSN, Cybercom, will participate in Cairo ICT for the first time. Oracle will also launch Oracle Day for the first time during the exhibition.

Cairo ICT represents an excellent marketing opportunity for local businesses to review the best technological products and solutions. It also provides opportunities for cooperation between local companies and their international counterparts. Cairo ICT offers a place for new partnerships to be made and will help highlight investment opportunities available in the local technology sector.
