A bomb exploded Saturday early in the morning in Minya Al-Qamh injuring one person in the leg.

The bomb was planted beneath the main waterline to Minya Al-Qamh in Sharqeya governorate. The explosion resulted in an 80cm hole, without damaging the waterline. Windows of the teachers’ syndicate, which is located in front of the pipeline, were blown up, reported state-owned newspaper Al-Ahram.

Explosives experts and criminal investigation officers from the National Security arrived at the scene to survey the area, finding no other bombs.

Less than a week ago, two policemen were killed and seven others were injured in a blast near the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in central Cairo.
