Egypt’s Jewish community mourns the passing of Nadia Haroun

The deputy head of Egypt’s small Jewish community died Thursday.

Nadia Haroun was the sister of community head Magda Haroun and the daughter of activist Shehata Haroun.

The Jewish community in Egypt has dwindled to a few score but is an intricate part of the country’s history.
