On Monday the Cairo Criminal Court has absolved former president Hosni Mubarak on charges of misusing public funds according to state-run Al-Ahram.

Mubarak, along with his two sons, had been charged with using state funds to finance their presidential palaces, rather than public projects.

Farid Al-Deeb, Mubarak’s defence attorney, who was present in court said the case was “fabricated” to keep Mubarak and his sons detained.

Mubarak will remain in police custody, pending trial for separate charges, including killing of protesters and embezzlement.

Al-Ahram reported that his sons Alaa and Gamal will also remain in custody.

Judge Mahmoud Al-Rashid of the North Cairo Court had previously postponed the trial of Mubarak, his sons, previous minister of interior Habib Al-Adly and six of his assistants to 25 August; who have been charged with killing protesters and embezzlement of public funds.

IS IT TRUE THAT EGYPTIAN GOVERNMENT AND ARMY DROPED ALL THE CHARGES OF HUSSAINI MUBARAK AND HE IS A FREE MAN.??

What democracy? They Army overthrew the President, which was stupid and shortsighted. In a democracy we have due process. If you dont like where Morsi was taking the country, you wait for the next election and vote him out. Within the logic of what happened in Egypt, Obama should be under house arrest right now, -for being one of the biggest liars and hypocrites, of all time.

Why use capitals? Does emotion rule your logic. Maybe it’s just an genetic disorder of people in the middle east. Try to think logically instead of emotionally. Calm down.

    WINSTON, YOU ARE 100% RIGHT.
STREET POLITICS IS A DISTRUCTION OF DEMOCRACY.
IN BRITISH SYSTEM. PARLIMENT CAN PASS VOTE OF NON CONFIDENCE. IN AMERICAN SYSTEM, CONGRESS CAN COTROL PRESIDENT TILL NEXT ELECTION.
SREET POLTICS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY. I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT MORSI ONLY THING I KNOW HE WAS EADUCATED IN USA AND WAS ELECTED BY PEOPLE OF EGYPT NOT APPOINTED BY ARMY.
EGYPTIANS ARE NOT READY FOR DEMOCRACY.

Soooo now that the army has killed protesters on their owbn, does this mean there is reasonable doubt that Mubarak ordered it the last time around??? Or, did the army generals act on their own then as well? This is a crazy situation.

Egyptians are weird. They cut their noses off to spite their faces and are proud of doing it. Democracy and prosperity aren’t possible in any religious philosophy. They need to dump the mid-east rhetoric and join the 21st century so they can enjoy life instead of keeping themselves in an emotional, illogical, medieval mindset.

THANKS GOD! After all by replacing the legitimately elected government in the largest Arab nation, Obama and his cronies and Neo-Cons have fulfilled the last wishes of Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda. Very soon, Egypt will be the capital of Al-Qaeda, Anarchists, and Terrorists. Too bad, traitors Coptic minority will suffer the most in coming days. Better, they follow Elbaradei and leave now, before it is too late.

In 2011, Mubarak ordered the military to shoot Egyptian protesters but the military should have to wait to elapse two years of confusion to show their dark side of atrocity. Now the moment comes! The order is finally done and the ‘boss’ has freed!! The military betrayed its people.

    Peace and Love for Egyptians!
