Judge Adel Abdel-Hamid and Ibrahim El-Demairy were sworn in on Monday as Ministers of Justice and Transportation, respectively.

Earlier that day Prime Minister Hazem El-Beblawi met with Hany Mahmoud as a candidate for Minister of Administrative Development.

Mahmoud was Minister of Communication and Information Technology under former prime ministerHeshamQandil and possesses significant experience in human resources.

Meanwhile, following Ahmed Darwish’s refusal of the position of Minister of Administrative Development last week, the ministry has since been managed by a charge d’affaires.

El-Beblawi spent last week forming his initial cabinet, which was sworn in last Tuesday. Several candidates were then offered the position of Minister of Transportation, but all refused.
