The Al-Dostour party has launched “The Muslim Brotherhood are Failures” campaign two days ago in Sharqeya governorate.

“We changed the name from ‘The Muslim Brotherhood are liars’ to ‘failures’ as a result of the assessment of President Mohamed Morsi’s and the Brotherhood’s performance during the last year,” said Al-Dostour party’s spokesperson in Sharqeya, Dr Abdel Fattah Al-Banna.

He explained that the campaign aims at encouraging Egyptians to continue the revolution, participate in the planned protests on 30 June and “not give up hope”. It is also intended to remind the people of the problems Egyptians have been suffering since Morsi’s inauguration, such as bloodshed, power cuts, fuel shortages, inflation, and road blocks, Al-Banna added.

“Egypt is falling. We used to say Egypt is the gift of the Nile… now Morsi is cutting the Nile water as well.”

The National Salvation Front, 6 April Movement, Tamarod campaign, Free Egyptians Party, Egyptian Socialist Democratic Party, independent youths and others have joined the campaign.

According to state-owned Al-Ahram newspaper, The Muslim Brotherhood are Failures campaign was inspired by Kazeboon (liars) campaign launched against the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which ruled during the transitional period before the election of President Morsi .
