On Saturday, youth movements organised a march honoring the death of Mohamed Qorany, who was killed Friday evening outside the presidential palace.

Qorany died during clashes between protesters and security officials after protesters attempted to break into the palace. Clashes left at least 102 injured, according to the Ministry of Health’s statement. Qorany was the only reported death.

Protesters in solidarity with Qorany gathered at the Al-Nour Mosque in Abasseya to conduct prayers, followed by a march to the presidential palace. The 6 April movement is among those taking part.

An autopsy was held for Qorany before his funeral on Saturday morning. Deputy Head of Forensics Emad Al-Deeb told Al-Ahram the autopsy revealed that Qorany was shot at close range from the front. He was hit twice, with one bullet hitting his chest and the other his abdomen.
